Crafty Days #8

As I promised to you in some previous post, I'll share the pics and some stories from the first event I've joined. That was an amazing event for craft and handmade enthusiasts like me! There a lot (did I say a lot? I mean LOTS!) of cool and stunning handmade goods sold in the craft bazaar. Not only craft bazaar, Crafty Days #8 also held some handmade workshop for kids and adults, craftpreneur group discussion, and music performance.

I shared the booth with my friend, Rere and Gina from Kanigara (they sells some pouch and pillow from illustration-printed fabric) and my best-friend Achie from BloeiHandmade (she sells necklaces and bracelets from fabric scraps).

That was Achie and I set up our booth. And this is part of my product display on the first day. Quite a lot if I may say :)

Our booth was located in first line on the left wing of the building. There were 10 booths on this section, and here are some of them..

Congratulation and Happy Anniversary for Lisa and Fachrizal, ST.

 This clay on frame was requested by Lisa as a graduation and 2 year anniversary gift for her boyfriend. She wanted a clay on frame with 2 themes at once. Campus theme for the graduation and beach theme for the anniversary. So I split the frame area into two and fill it with 2 different themes.

Actually, I'm quite satisfied with the result, but I had great difficulty while taking the pictures.It's really hard to take a good photo with the glazing surface object like those frame. It's always reflects the surroundings. I've tried to darken the room so that there is no reflection on the glass surface, and then brighten it up in Photoshop. But then I get so much noisy and blurry photos like above :'(

Anyone can help?

Hello friends! Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been busy for the holidays last week. There are two great days in my country last week. Indonesia's Independence Day on August 17th and Eid al-Fitr on August 19-20th. And the days after 20 is my precious time with my whole family and my boyfriend who came home for vacation for 2 weeks :)

Anyway, this is my previous works. I just be able to post it today. I had two customers who named Rara. What a nice coincidence :)

note : Cut teeth (Balinese: mepandes, mesangih or metatah) is Hindu-Balinese ceremonies. This ceremony includes what is called the ceremony manusa yadnya. What's done at the cutting teeth ceremony are eroding six upper front teeth. The purpose of this ceremony is to reduce vices (sad ripu) in question.

So this is what I did in the past few weeks. The clay on frame. My best friend order them to me as a gift for her friend's graduation and birthday. Of course I accept the orders gladly . I hope it could be the good start for me to open my clay shop someday :)

Work in progress...

I worked at this clay figure the past few days and it has finished now. But I can't post the complete result because this is a gift from someone to somebody :) I think it will be surprise for April 14th. So I'll post the final result after that date. Oh, the picture at the bottom right is Mr. Lapin, I've created his illustration at the previous post. Isn't he cute? What do you think?? :)

I made these little cake rings last year, in November I guess, not sure.
There is 17 cupcake rings and 8 fruit pie rings.
But 1 fruit pie ring was bought by my friend.
I have given them a name accordance with the topping and taste.
Such like cookies and cream cupcake, green tea cupcake, chocorange
and strawberry princess cupcake :)))
and also mixberry pie and mix fruit pie...sounds delicious?

Well, actually i didn't making my polymer clay work using the "real polymer clay".
You know, imported polymer clay like Fimo or Sculpy.
But i make my own clay dough using corn starch. It's usually called corn craft, but I'd love to call mine polymer clay :))
If you want to make corn craft dough as mine, you'll need some ingredient,
such like :
1 cup cornstarch
1 cup rice flour
1 cup tapioca/cassava starch
a little benzoat if you need for preservative (I don't use this)
white wood glue or PVAC glue
watercolor or acrylic paint ( I use watercolor, it gives the soften color)

The weakness if you use this dough is not waterproof. So you have to coating it with varnish or clear paint when it is dry. Just a little so it doesn't looked too shiny or glossy.

2 days ago i was working on some custom order.
this Patapon figurine was ordered from my bf for his little brother.
he said that his brother really love Patapon.

i made this 3D angry Patapon
and double sided 2D Patapon key chain.

and today i heard that his little brother was sick.
so i hope after he get this figurine, he can get well soon.
and hope he'll likes this little gift.

new collection for my polymer clay project.
these are the fruit bookmarks, made from polymer clay and ice cream stick for the stem.
there are strawberry, orange, banana, kiwi fruit, pear, lemon, apple and carrot.

i know carrot is not a fruit,
but it's looking good if juxtaposed with the other fruits ..=)

i was working on some polymer clay project.
i made these cookies and donuts.
there are rainbow flavor donuts, neapolitan donuts,
chocolate chips & nut cookies, and also sandwich cookies & heart chocolate dip cookies.
i made them so tiny for stud earrings, but it's not done yet.


anyway it's still look yummy for display.
and it's suitable for tea time...=)
