Art Journal

I'd been very busy last week till this afternoon. So tonight I decided to have a relaxing time, accompanied by a cup of cappuccino+caramel syrup, take some chitchat with my boyfriend by phone [but he's very busy tonight :(, make me little bit dissapointed.... ], and do something with my new journal.

I bought this journal a few weeks ago from Kineruku, little library and book store in my town. This journal was actually a visual diary pocket-book, made by Tarlen Handayani, one of very talented crafter in my town. She create a lot of beautiful handmade notebook. You can found her gorgeous works here or here.
Each series of this visual diary has a beautiful photograph on the cover and has a brief story about the cover on the last page.

I really love my new journal. I want to use it as an art journal but I have no idea what should be written or drawn. So I start reading about art journaling from one of my favorite blog here, and I found a link to this very useful blog post. It's about 100 ideas things to do with journal, and it's really fun!
I've download it, cut and roll it into small rolls, put in the tin can and pick it randomly. And this is the first thing I've chosen :)
I'll post the result a.s.a.p.
Please try the '100 Ideas', and have fun with it.

Hope you have a lovely Monday, everyone!

New Sketchbook !

This is my new sketchbook. I get it by buying the heavy papers for drawing and then left to the bindery to be bound. Once bound, the cover was plain and laminated. And while I'm blogwalking on Geninne's site, I've got inspired with her post. So I think I want to draw my sketchbook cover too, so that's won't be too plain. But my sketchbook over was got laminated, so I can't coloring it using watercolors. So i draw it using snowman white and micron pen waterproof ink, and varnish it.
I use photoshop actions from here and lovely vintage blog photo frame from here for this post images.

Printable Holiday Tag Freebie

Today I would like to give you a printable tags and card freebie. This tags are used to provide Eid ul-Fitr greetings. Yes, I'm a Moslem. As a Moslem, this month I'm doing fasting. And a few more days Moslems around the world will celebrate Eid ul-Fitr, the holiday which celebrates the conclusion of the thirty days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadhan.

Just click on the image above and right-click to save it. Print onto thick card stock and write your message on the back. Feel free to use it for Eid ul-Fitr parcel tag or as greetings card.

The green small square image on the greeting card is a picture of Ketupat. It is a rice cake boiled in a rhombus-shaped, packed with plaited young coconut leaves. Ketupat is a traditional food served by Malays in Shouteast Asia at open houses festive occasions such as Eid ul-Fitr. During Eid ul-Fitr in Indonesia, ketupat is often served with opor ayam (chicken in coconut milk), accompanied with rendang, sambal goreng ati (spicy beef liver), krecek (buffalo skin dish), and sayur labu siam (chayote soup).

Dream Craft Room..

I dream a beautiful and cozy crafting space in my future house. You know, some place for sewing, designing, polymer clay making, making some upcycled things or even just browsing some ideas. I want to have some room or space where can give me an inspiration while I'm crafting.
and after looking for some craft room inspiration, here's the ideas.....

I love this craft room that looks cozy and homey :))

Hmmm... this one looks very neat, clean and organized. Love it. But this is too big for me, I think. These rooms are for professional craftsmen, not for the hobbyist like me ;))

This one is my favorite. Love it love it love it !!! Not too big, just in one corner of the room. But sooooo beautiful :))) And I love that craft suitcase

This room looks so fresh. I love the color combination of this room..

These spaces are the alternatives idea if my future house does not have large space enough for the craft room. The craft closet is the best solution :)))

HOPE YOU GET INSPIRED
